Memories: House-painting in Haiti

Student with Painting, Haiti

An art student shows off the house he painted during an encaustic painting workshop I gave at Haiti’s National Art School (ENARTS) in 2003

Several of the students I met are now professional artists, like Nixon Leger who has moved to the US, and Dominique Domercant, who was left homeless after the earthquake last year but has traveled extensively before and since, talking about his work and Haiti.
