Hand tinted Cyanotype Illustration from H is for Hong Kong, 2008
While some of the most interesting people I know are eating their way around the world, I’ve never given food much airtime here. Yet one of the most immediate pleasures – and pains – of travel are the many foods we encounter along the way.
Here’s a selection of my favorite food photos from the past few years:
From soft durian and coconut icecream in Laos
to a bucket full of sea urchin spines in Korea
or the starfish from a medicine shop at a Cambodian market
There are many ways to stay healthy.
From the Persian bakery near our flat in Sydney
to sticky rice in the jungle in Laos,
Each offers a new experience.
the coffee flowers of northern Thailand,
and lunch on my studio rooftop in Bangkok
are the freshest ingredients you’ll find anywhere.
You can see more photos I’ve posted here on Flickr
